GASTROINTESTINAL (GUT) ACNE
You have scored the highest in the "Gut" category, meaning the leading cause of your acne stems from digestive issues.
Watch the video below to learn how you can treat the cause of your acne driven by digestive issues.
The cause of your acne can be influenced by many body systems (Hormone, Liver, Lymphatic, Gut and Nervous system) and we focus on these five body systems inside our 10 week transformation online course ‘Acne to g l o w’ treating the cause of your acne.
The gut is said to be our second brain and in addition to digestion and absorption, the gut is also responsible for manufacturing and regulating hormones. As usually women with acne tend to have gut issues as well, so you are not alone, everything is all connected.
It is also necessary that you understand the brain, gut, skin axis, so when you are treating and supporting your gut health, you are essentially supporting your nervous system and therefore treating your acne. This is why it is so important to treat your acne internally and why treatment with only skincare does not work.
More and more clinical studies are demonstrating the link between ‘Leaky gut’ formerly known as intestinal permeability, IBS, constipation, diarrhoea, bloating, offensive flatulence and or SIBO and the connection to acne.
Within Acne to g l o w our 10 week transformation online course, we have dedicated module 6 to treating womens acne through their gut, so they can finally go from acne to g l o w. It is important to treat acne holistically and support the bodies Liver, Lymphatic, Gut, Hormones and Nervous system in order to achieve long term acne free results.
Although treating your gut has become quite popular in the past few years, it is noted that treating the gut properly and effectively is not as simple as what you may think. Treating your gut to treat your acne needs to be done in a specific way, with the guidance of a qualified Naturopath. This can be done systematically, for example elimination pathways need to be clear, so the liver has the ability to detoxify any excess hormones or toxins before the gut is treated to ensure detoxification pathways are cleared and toxins can be effectively excreted without any possible toxic re absorption.
Treating the gut properly when treating the cause of acne is more than eating prebiotic foods and taking probiotics, although you need to do this or order to achieve a healthy microbiome. There are more steps you need to take, to completely heal your gut and treat your acne long term, that we teach you inside Acne to g l o w.
GASTROINTESTINAL (GUT) ACNE TREATMENT:
Outlined below are two steps you can take right now to start treating your acne caused by your compromised gut health.
NUMBER ONE:
Investigate possible food allergies, as food allergies cause inflammation in the body leading to possible development of intestinal permeability issues known as leaky gut syndrome. You can do this by keeping a food journal, even in the notes section of your phone and writing down any symptoms you have after you eat certain foods. This way you will have everything written down in one place and one of our acne naturopaths can walk you through the next steps you need to take outlined inside your acne to g l o w gut health treatment plan and inside your 1:1 private appointment included as part of the Acne to g l o w experience.
NUMBER TWO:
Start consuming foods containing prebiotics, such as cooked and cooled potato, rice, onions, garlic, asparagus and apples into your nutrient consumption. A great place to start including prebiotic foods into your nutrient consumption is with stewed apples, you can even add a little ground cinnamon to help balance your blood sugar levels too.
It is important to note that solely treating your gut with prebiotic foods will not be enough to treat your acne but it is completely necessary to start eating these types of ‘pre’biotic rich foods to nourish your microbiome.
Thank you for wanting to treat the cause of your acne and I can not wait to see you inside our comprehensive 10 week course - Acne to g l o w if you would like to finally treat your acne for once and for all from the inside out.
I look forward to seeing you inside Acne to g l o w,
Bye for now,
